Six Inch Episode One Bootlegs

Aaaaccckkkk! Another bootleg Star Wars set of figures. These are based on the characters from Episode One, The Phantom Menace. To date, this set of figures haven't been spotted in the US. The only place I know where they are for sale is Brazil. Yes. These figures were sent to me by Jorge Lunz. I tell ya, the guy is great. He has sent me a ton of neat bootleg toys. These were among the first waves of bootleg toys he has scored for me.

The figures in this bootleg series stand six inches tall. Well, actually they range from about 5.5" to 6.5" in height. The card these figures are mounted on measures 9" X 6". Pictured on the back are the five figures in the series. But in typical bootlegger fashion, there is a blurb stating to "Collect all Four Star Wars Episode 1 Characters. The bootleggers even supplied a nice little bar code on the card back.

Obi Wan Kenobi measures in at 6.5" in height. Like all the other figures in this series, Obi-Wan has articulation only where the arms meet the shoulders.
Other than that, these are basically statues.
Obi-Wan comes with a black light saber.
Here is Pod Racer Anakin. Like Obi-Wan, Anakin stands 6.5" tall. Which means that he is totally out of scale for this series of bootleg toys. Come on now. Anakin is just a kid. He shouldn't be as tall as the Jedi Knights. Right?
Poor Anakin comes with no accessories at all.

Here is Qui-Gonn Jinn. Qui-Gonn's lone accessory is a black light saber.
Qui-Gonn actually is a tad smaller than Obi-Wan Kenobi in this bootleg toy series. As a matter of fact, he is also thinner than Obi Wan.
Now that I think about it, even Anakin Skywalker is taller and wider than Qui-Gonn too.
Sheesh! What the heck were the bootleggers thinking???

The much despised Jar Jar Binks has some humor value to him. The bootleggers painted Jar Jar's arms white and red. His feet have a pinkish hue to them. The bootleggers included a walking stick with the figure.
How tall is Jar Jar? Well, he also is about 6.5" in height.

Darth Maul is quite simply the most disappointing figure in this series. Not only is he the smallest figure, but he also just doesn't have the Darth Maul menace to him.
Poor Darth Maul is just a tad over 5.5" tall. At least the bootleggers were kind enough to give Darth Maul a black double bladed light saber. He's gonna need it if he has to battle the other figures in this series.

These toys are a pretty fun bootleg toy series to have. When I saw how out of proportion they were to each other, I just had to laugh. I mean, come on? Anakin Skywalker towers over Darth Maul and Qui-Gonn Jinn. That is just too funny.
Hey Jorge! Thanks a whole bunch for snagging these bad boys for me.
