Well, we have seen the Star Wars
bootleg toys show up in the five inch size that you can find in your local
toy store. Now the figures have shown up in a much smaller form.
|
| Here are Qui-Gonn Jinn, Obi Wan
Kenobi, Slave Leia and Jar Jar Binks. Behind Jar Jar is Anakin Skywalker.
That's Slave Leia's arm left arm laying between Obi Wan Kenobi's legs. |

| Pictured here are Watto, Yoda, Coruscant Queen Amidala and Nute Gunray. |

| This picture features a Tusken Raider, Obi Wan Kenobi as seen in the original Star Wars trilogy and R2D2. |

Boss Nass, a Battle Droid, another
Queen Amidala and Anakin Skywalker in his pilot's outfit.

Here is Naboo Queen Amidala, along
with Senator Palpatine, Sebulba and the Jedi Knight Ki-Adi-Mundi.

| Now as you can see in all of
the above pictures, the quality of the paint job is very poor. Many of
these figure's eyes are just black dots. The molds obviously are from the
Hasbro five inch figures. Why the bootleggers mixed the original series
characters with the Episode One characters is a mystery that probably will
never be solved.
Here is another thought. These figures are based on the actual molds (sorta) that Hasbro used to produce the "real" toys. Some of these have all ready been bootlegged on Ep 1 cards. Should we expect some of these new figures (Nute Gunray, Naboo and Coruscant Queen Amidala....) to turn up soon as five inch bootleg figures? I hope so. |
