Turtle Aquaplane


This one is an oldie. But it certainly is a goody. What is it? Well, if ya believe the title, you would probably think that this is some kinda TMNT plane. But, it isn't. It's a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figure on a skateboard.
 

Here is the title section of the card this toy comes on. The font of the title and the colors certainly do emit a TMNT flavor. Of course, the turtles pictured on the card also help. 
 


 

Here is the toy. Well, there is no plane. Just one of the TMNT on a skateboard. The skateboard is one of the pull back type of toys. Y'know, ya pull it back to wind up the motor mechanism located under the skateboard. Then ya release it and watch if zoom forward. 
A neat thing about this toy is the packaging. Rather than glue the bubble to the card, the bootleggers made a sturdy molded piece of plastic to mount the figure on. There are slots on the plastic that you slide the card through to hold the figure on the card. Pretty nifty if ya ask me. 
 


 
Here is the figure out of the package. As you can see, the bootleggers glued stickers on the top of the skateboard. The figure itself is almost four inches tall with no articulation. The swords can be removed from the figures hands. The skateboard itself is almost four and a half inches long. 
All in all, this is a pretty neat TMNT toy.
